When your device arrives at Summit Phone Repair, it undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure it meets the details you provided during the quote process. Here’s a step-by-step look at what happens during the inspection:
Visual Assessment Our team examines the device for any visible damage, such as cracks, scratches, or dents. We also check for missing or broken components that might affect its value.
Functionality Testing Next, we test the device to ensure it functions as described. This includes checking the screen, buttons, cameras, battery health, and any other features specific to your device.
A note on Aftermarket parts. While we accept devices with aftermarket parts, this may significantly decrease your offer amount based upon the component.
IMEI Check We perform an IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) check through a trusted third-party service. This step verifies that the device is not reported as lost, stolen, or locked and ensures no active security features, like Find My iPhone, are enabled. Any issues flagged during this process will be communicated to you immediately.
For more information on our IMEI checks, please review our IMEI Check article.
Offer Confirmation or Revision Once the inspection is complete, we compare the findings to the information provided during the quote process. If everything matches, we confirm the original offer and proceed with payment. If discrepancies are found, we’ll adjust the offer accordingly and notify you of the changes. You’ll have the option to accept the revised offer or request your device back at no cost.
Payment Processing After you approve the final offer, we process your payment within 72 hours. You’ll receive your funds based on the payment method you selected during the quote acceptance process.
By understanding the steps involved in our inspection process, you can feel confident in the transparency and fairness of our service.
